Your worries literally run your life! You are concerned about saying or doing the “wrong” things. Opportunities are missed because you talk yourself out of them. You doubt yourself in most situations.
Every day you feel sick (stomach aches, migraines, muscle tension) when you think of what is coming up next at work or school. Cluttered thoughts get in the way of the life you want, because you just can’t seem to get out of your head.
Unfortunately, this means that you aren’t the type of student, family member or employee that you want to be. Truthfully, you don’t even feel like yourself anymore… You’re irritable, hiding what you really feel by smiling, and even staying home when you want to get out there and live your life. Your self-confidence is tanking.

How Can Counseling For Anxiety Help Me?
Counseling helps to put the worries out there instead of hiding them in your head. You’ve done enough of that, and it’s literally making you sick. Counseling will allow you to talk through your feelings and help figure out what’s in your way. You will learn how to calm your body by using mental and relaxation strategies, helping you feel sick less often.
Once you have gotten those skills under your belt, we will make a plan together that helps you intentionally conquer whatever your fears are that keep you from living the life you want.

Imagine being able to change your thoughts from being critical of yourself to saying, “I did it.” That’s what counseling can do for you! It can build your confidence in yourself because you would be proving to yourself that you are capable of getting through the hard stuff.
Can You Help My Anxious Teen ?
Living everyday worrying about what’s to come is so exhausting! Teens experience that on a daily basis as they try to find where they fit in the world. On top of that, their emotions are experienced at a higher level because of puberty and new experiences.
Individual, family and group therapy can help them learn ways to overcome their anxiety, feel calm and connect with others. They will learn their anxiety warning signs, practice healthy coping skills to use anywhere, and practice working through their anxiety in each session. This can build their confidence to manage stress into adulthood.
